Robert on Crutches For most of 2005, I developed a problem with my right heel. Called retro calcaneal bursitis (inflamation of the burse where the Achilles tendon connects to the heel bone), eventually it was too swollen or painful to walk. So, I went to an expert, who put me in a cast -- probably for three months. These photos come from the job in Hawaii. Plus, here's a later photo, from Ventura, CA. We're examining the progress in cutting the pattern, during a rain break. To my right is my brother David (red shirt) and Chuck Hunner. David is also in most of the Hawaii photos.
